Who we are
The Pasteur Network Application Portal is the application platform for international courses and grants offered by Pasteur Network. The official website is: calls.pasteur-network.org/ hosted by Flexi-Grant®, a platform server produced by Fluent Technology Ltd.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
The Pasteur Network Application Portal may collect personal data when you visit the website. Some of the personal data recorded here are either those that you voluntarily provide when you fill out an online form, or those collected automatically (cookies).
The Pasteur Network Application Portal also collects potentially personal information, such as Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. However, Pasteur Network does not use IP addresses to identify individuals visiting the site and does not disclose such information.
Application forms – account registration
When visitors complete a contact form or an application on the website, the data shown in the form as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string will be collected in order to help spam detection.
The collected data will only be used for the means described on the application form. The information from the application form (contact details, project, applicant’s and co-applicants information) will be shared with members of the Pasteur Network and panellists evaluating the application. This information will be stored by the Institut Pasteur in Paris and the Pasteur Network association for at least two years (for refused candidates) and up to ten years for selected candidates. By creating your account and completing an application process you accept that your profile and project data as well as data gathered when accepting cookies will be collected by the Institut Pasteur.
If you complete a contact form on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you use the form again.
A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent from a web server to your browser. It is normally used to assign a unique identification to your computer and securely store information such as user IDs, passwords, preferences, and online profiles.
It is stored on the hard drive of your computer. You can choose not to have cookies delivered by the Pasteur Network Application Portal by changing your browser settings. Different websites can send their own cookies to your computer. To protect your privacy, your browser only allows a website to access the cookies it has already sent you, not the cookies sent by other sites.
Retaining your data
Note that when completing an account registration and application form, the form and its metadata will be retained at least for two years.
The Pasteur Network only discloses potentially personally identifiable and personally identifiable information to project administrators, employees, contractors, and affiliated organizations who (i) need to know such information in order to process it on behalf of Pasteur Network or to provide services available on the platform, and (ii) who have agreed not to disclose them to other third parties. Some of these employees, contractors and affiliated organisations may be located outside of your home country. By using the Pasteur Network Application Portal you consent to the transfer of this information.
Under any circumstances, the Pasteur Network will rent or sell personally identifiable information to anyone.
As described above, the Pasteur Network will only disclose personally identifying information when required by law, if you give permission to share your information, or where Pasteur Network considers that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property and / or rights of the Pasteur Network, others, or the general public.
What rights you have over your data
The only elements that the Pasteur Network will retain will be Name, Last Name, email and telephone number (not mandatory), professional background, project details and those collected with cookies. You can accept, modify, refuse or update cookie features directly on your browser.
If you have completed an application form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data the Pasteur Network hold about you, including any data you have provided. You can also request that the Pasteur Network to erase any personal data it holds about you. This does not include any data the Pasteur Network is obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
